The UCI Kidney Stone Center provides coordinated, comprehensive care for people experiencing kidney stones, from urgent treatment to long-term prevention strategies. Patients have access to a multidisciplinary team with extensive experience in both routine and complex stone cases, along with advanced minimally invasive procedures designed to relieve symptoms and reduce recurrence. With convenient locations throughout Orange County and a dedicated pathway for rapid evaluation, the center is focused on helping patients receive timely care, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing support to protect their kidney health.

Clayman, MD
Dr. Ralph V. Clayman, former dean of the UCI School of Medicine, is an internationally respected urologist who pioneered minimally invasive surgical techniques that have revolutionized treatment for diseases of the kidney and urinary tract. He was among the very first surgeons in the country to develop percutaneous stone removal in 1979 and has invented many of the currently used devices employed for minimally invasive stone removal.
